Live Action.

Live action is a great way to create powerful first impressions through strong human experience — the ability to show people on-screen results in more natural emotions and a sense of authenticity.

Below are a variety of live-action projects I have been a part of, including commercial, corporate, and documentary styles.

Ottawa Print Services

Ottawa Print Services (OPS) was looking to increase its online leads and wanted a simple and engaging way to explain its online process to its target audience. The direction for this video was to tell the story from a client's perspective, creating a type of testimonial that felt like a friend was speaking about their experience using OPS.

Pitney Powes SmartLink

For this project, the objective was to demonstrate the added benefits SmartLink provides to the viewer’s meters, focusing on the day-to-day practical applications.

The goal was to avoid the idea of “another piece of technology” for you to worry about, instead highlighting how seamlessly it integrates with their meters.

Ottawa Mission

Hospice - 20th Anniversary

A hospice is an emotional place, and with this concept, we wanted to give the hospice its own unique voice.

What the Ottawa Mission means to me?

This video interviews multiple Ottawa Mission staff and volunteers to create an inspirational message of what the Ottawa Mission stands for. This video was a key part of their 2019 Impact Report to help raise funds and communicate an emotional, human-centric story.

LuxBidet

Luxe Bidet was seeking to create a video to promote its products to American consumers. The challenge was that American consumers don't truly understand the benefits of having a bidet at home. The purpose of the video was to entice consumers to purchase a Luxe Bidet product and associate the brand as the best option for bidets in the US.

The concept for this video was to immerse the audience in a story of discovery - something that makes them entertained but also enlightened. This will be executed by creating a humourist narrative, which will stick in their minds and allow the brand to be remembered in a positive way.

Farmwave

For this production, I travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, to create a video for a company called Farmwave. This was a solo video shoot where I did the lighting, cinematography, audio, direction, and producing by myself. I also wrote the creative treatment for the graphical elements and led a team of designers and animators for the post-production. The animation helped visualize and explain the content for the viewer to easily follow along.

PHE Canada - Rez Girls 64

This video was produced to help raise funds for PHE Canada by focusing on telling the story of the Rez Girls 64 hockey team. The goal was to clearly communicate the importance of physical well-being of children and exposure to social inclusion.

Revenue Analytics

This video was produced as a part of Revenue Analytics' ongoing campaign called "Stop Gut Pricing". The campaign is meant to make their target audience realize they are not being effective as they are using their gut to quote their clients. The goal of the video is to go along with the campaign and create awareness and buzz within their industry without coming off as a sales video.

Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival

In 2018 and 2019, I volunteered to create a "behind the scenes" video for the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival - the biggest summer event in the Outaouais. These two videos were shot and edited within three days to show the behind the scenes of the operations for the hot air balloons. For each year, the video was presented at the end ceremony in front of all the hot air balloon staff and volunteers as a summary of the event, and thank you for all of their hard work.
